الحملة الثقافية في يوم أوروبا
في يوم 9 أيار من عام 1950 وضع عدد قليل من البلدان الأوروبية أول حجر أساس ملموس للاتحاد الأوروبي كما نعرفه اليوم. على الرغم من الأزمات التي شهدت أوروبا في الماضي وتشهدها اليوم ، إلا أن هذه العلامة الفارقة في التاريخ الأوروبي أمنت للأوروبيين عقودا من الاستقرار والسلام والرفاهية. لهذه الجهود، تم منح الاتحاد الأوروبي جائزة نوبل للسلام لعام 2012.
هذا العام، تحتفل بعثة الاتحاد الأوروبي في الأردن بيوم أوروبا طيلة شهر أيارحيث ستقدم من خلاله مواهب أوروبية وأردنية مثالا يحتذى للتعاون الثقافي. أيار شهر الثقافة 2013 سيسلط الضوء على الشراكة المتبادلة بين الأردن والاتحاد الأوروبي: "العمل يدا بيد من أجل مستقبل أفضل".
قالت السيدة يؤانا فرونيتسكا ، سفير الاتحاد الأوروبي في الأردن، "التنوع الثقافي والحوار هي واحدة من الخصائص الرئيسية للاتحاد الأوروبي والتي تمكن الاتحاد الأوروبي من العمل جنبا إلى جنب مع جيرانه وشركائه''.
الاتحاد الأوروبي يعزز التعاون الثقافي الدولي والتفاهم المتبادل والأسس الأساسية للاتحاد. ومن أجل ترجمة هذه المبادئ إلى واقع ملموس، تنظم بعثة الاتحاد الأوروبي في الأردن عددا من الأنشطة التي توضح على أفضل وجه الحوار الثقافي والمشاركة.
في 9 أيار، سنستمتع بأداء فرقة الرقص الإيطالية بوتيغا ومجموعة موهوبة من الشباب الأردنيين الذي سيقدمون استعراضات راقصة كجزء من زخارف حركية في مهرجان الرقص والحركة. لقد عمل الفنانون الأردنيون والأوروبيون معا ليس لتطوير مهاراتهم المهنية فحسب بل أيضا لإيصال رسالتهم معا.
في 28/29 أيار يسر الاتحاد الأوروبي في عمان مع مهرجان أصدقاء الأردن عرض أوبرا بعنوان "كوسي فان توتي" ذات الشهرة العالمية لفولفغانغ أماديوس موزارت في إنتاج مشترك فريد من قبل الاتحاد الأوروبي والأردني.

May of Culture 2013: Celebrating Europe Day in Jordan
It was on the 9 May 1950 when a few European countries set the first foundation of a European Union as we know it today. Despite the crises Europe has experienced and is experiencing today, this milestone in history that has assured Europeans decades of stability, peace and welfare. For these efforts, the EU was awarded the 2012 Nobel Peace Prize.
This year, the EU Delegation in Jordan is celebrating the Europe Day during the whole month of May during which European and Jordanian talents will set an example of cultural cooperation. The May of Culture 2013 highlights the mutual partnership between Jordan and the EU: "working hand in hand for a better future".
Mrs Joanna Wronecka, the Ambassador of the European Union in Jordan stated that "cultural diversity and dialogue is one of the key characteristics of the European Union which enables the EU to work hand in hand with its neighbors and partners.''
The EU promotes cultural international cooperation and mutual understanding as basic fundamentals of the Union. In order to translate these principles into reality, the EU Delegation in Jordan has put together a number of activities that best illustrate cultural dialogue and engagement.
On the 9th of May, we will enjoy a performance of the Italian Boteha Dance Company and young Jordanian talented dancers as part of Zakharef in motion Dance Festival. Jordanian and European artists have worked together not only to develop their professional skills but also to jointly communicate their message.
On 28/29 May the EU Delegation in Amman together with Friends of Jordan Festival has the pleasure to present "Nights of the Opera", the world-renowned "Cosi fan Tutte" by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart in a unique EU-Jordanian joint production.
As the EU Delegation launches the May of culture events, Ambassador Joanna Wronecka adds "The May of Culture performances are the result of shared efforts, techniques, and thoughts between Europeans and Jordanians. This is an experience that will stay with them for a long time."
The May of Culture calendar also offers theatre for children, a drama and photography workshop, animation screening for film students, a creative trail of cultural sites for school students and public debates on radio and social media.
